In an email to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay, lager-specific microbrewery BarrieHaus Beer Co. — located at 1403 E. 5th Ave. in Ybor City — said that it is in the final stages of its build out and shooting to host a grand opening weekend on December 14-15.

In a previous interview with CL, co-owner and head brewer Jim Barrie said that the BarrieHaus team plans to host weekly special events like science night, trivia night and charity night aim to bring the community closer over great conversation and high-quality brews.

While this taproom serves as the ultimate ode to craft lager beer, the weekly rotating tap list will also include yeasty beers. Expect an eclectic range of lagers followed by a small selection of IPAs, stouts, and sours. Non-beer drinkers can sip on wine, cider and kombucha.

We’re just weeks away from getting a taste of Ybor City’s latest brewery which joins recently debuted Barterhouse, Chill Bros. Ice Cream, Red Star Rock Bar’s second location and forthcoming vegan grocery store Black Radish. Damn, Ybor is really popping off.

Taproom hours will be Tuesday through Thursday 4 p.m.-10 p.m., Friday 4 p.m.-midnight, Saturday noon-midnight and Sunday noon-6 p.m.
