BarrieHaus Tampa’s Dog Policy

We love our four-legged regulars! Here’s how dogs work at our Tampa Haus, and why.

Pet dogs are welcome on our Biergarten. Only service animals are allowed inside. This rule isn’t just our preference. Florida’s food code bans pets inside food and beverage establishments, and the City of Tampa allows pet dogs only in a permitted, designated outdoor area. The rule applies every day, including during our dog-friendly events.

On the patio, dogs must stay leashed, keep all four paws on the ground (no chairs or tables), and stay away from food, dishes, and glassware. BarrieHaus will provide water bowls upon request. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. A dog that is aggressive or keeps barking may be asked to leave.

Service animals are welcome anywhere our guests can go, as federal and Florida law require. A service animal is a dog (or miniature horse) individually trained to do specific work or tasks for a person with a disability. Emotional support, therapy, and comfort animals are not service animals under these laws. Our team may ask two questions: whether the dog is required because of a disability, and what task it has been trained to perform. We won’t ask about your disability or for paperwork. Service animals must be leashed and under control, and any animal that isn’t may be asked to leave. Florida law makes it a misdemeanor to misrepresent a pet as a service animal.

Thank you for helping us keep BarrieHaus welcoming for everyone, on two legs and four!
