Ybor will gain a new brewery this fall, BarrieHaus Beer Co., located at 1403 E. 5th Ave. 

The microbrewery will be lager-specific and host a warm, rustic atmosphere.

Just last week the BarrieHaus acquired its building permit, which means build-out will begin in the near future.

The compact three-member team is made up of co-owner and head brewer Jim Barrie, Barrie’s wife and co-owner/ Director of Hoperations Brittney, and co-owner/ Director of Sales & Relationships Junbae Lee. 

Jim Barrie’s brewing lineage runs deep, 150 years of brewing history, in fact, considering his great-great-great grandfather Philip Kling debuted Peninsular Brewing in 1863 after immigrating from Germany.

The tradition of brewing has carried on in various facets, and Barrie is ready to debut the modern interpretation of his family’s legacy in Ybor just a block away from The Bricks.
